GLUCOTAIN™ helps create higher and longer lasting foam
GlucoTain is an innovative range of sugar-based surfactants providing sensory benefits through individual foam structures. From fluffy to rich and light to caring, GlucoTain’s four mild surfactant solutions offer formulators the opportunity to create a broad spectrum of skin and hair care rinse-off products with more stable foam and a higher amount of lather.
Foam test
Clariant performed the shake foam test to define the foam height of the GlucoTain range versus other marketed mild surfactants.
First, a fixed amount of basic shampoo formulation with either GlucoTain or a marketed mild surfactants is poured into a graduated cylinder. Then, a stopper is placed on the cylinder and it’s inverted a fixed number of times.
The foam is then visually measured at different times.
